Some good news in the world of F-22’s… the F-22 squadrons based at Langley AFB, the integrated 1st Fighter Wing and 192nd Fighter Wing Team have reached Full Operational Capability (FOC) status. The squadrons are now ready to join the fight anywhere in the world at any time.
This has been a long time coming. The 1st & 92nd reached Initial Operating Capability (IOC) two years ago, and since then, the pilots and ground crews have been dedicating their time resources toward finding out how to make the best use and maintain the Air Force’s newest operational fighter.
As a future fighter pilot, this will be of great benefit to you. Assuming that you’ve taken the strategies laid out for you in the Fighter Pilot Power Pack and implemented them, you will be poised to get behind the stick of one of these babies and have the benefit of flying a top-of-the-line tactical fighter that has been tested, proven, and had all of the bugs shaken out of it and be trained by experienced instructors who know that bird inside and out.
As you know, government funding for the F-22 was cut short, so there are only 150 of these aircraft in the U.S. Air Force. That means that the Air Force will be wanting the best of the best to fly them and insure minimal, or better yet, NO losses of these expensive, precious, and utterly awesome airplanes.
That’s why your Afterburner Club membership is vital to your success. Here, we will teach you the strategies to not only become a successful officer and fighter pilot, but how to be the kind of guy who goes in and gets the job done without wasting taxpayer money.
If you are not already on the Afterburner Club and want to learn how to become a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps, Click here to get started on that journey.
One hundred-fifty F-22’s…and one of them could be assigned to YOU!
Where do you think the first FOC F-22 squadrons can go now to do the most good? Why?

Dude! I saw an F-22 demonstation at the Miramar Airshow last year and I have to say tha this plane is INCREDIBLE! The vector thrusting allows it to do things I never thought I’d see a modern jet fighter do! (Especially one of that size!) Also got to chat with the pilot later on and he had an attitude as awesome as his plane. Very inspiring!
Hard to say where they would do the MOST good. There are a lot of hot spots right now. (Korea, Libya, and of course, Iraq & Afghanistan), but they sure would be a welcome asset to any of the forces fighting there.

Yeah I am going to be a Photographer for my Flight school at the Kailua Kona, Hawaii Air show this may. It is the first ever air show where I live.
One demonstration is going to be a F-22 that i am looking forward to. Also some Jet powered gliders and C-17s and so on.
Back to the point I really want to see this plane in action.

Watched the F-22 in flight test here at Edwards.I am the flightline coordinator for the MCAS Miramar airshow. I’ve seen the F-22 do its show for a couple of yrs-pitch vectoring nozzle and all. Awesome, Verrrrry expensive. The original demo pilot told me that its an F-15 with a factor of X 10!!!!
But-like the B-2, and to some extent, the B-1B, the USAF is reluctant to fully utilize them due to falling into enemy hands, losing aircrew (w/UAVs, it’s becoming less of a requirement to put a human in harm’s way), or just losing one(publicity, like F-22 lost in Alaska!).
Hopefully, doing successfull FCF on the jet and will be seeing ya at El Centro Mar 10th and Yuma Mar 26th
